Reasons....

"Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."


I know you have heard this quote before.  It goes around facebook almost in a continuous loop.  But this morning this quote came to my mind as I was sitting here pondering the most recent events in my life.  Thinking back to the time when all "this" began.  How my life changed and the people who brought that to me.  


I remember being pulled out to New Mexico and not knowing why.  While there I worked as a Chef for a company that had a corrupt district manager in it.  This district manager stole from my kitchen and wanted me to lie for her.  I couldn't do it.  I quit.  Then while sitting there on my bed wondering what the heck I was going to do now, the phone rang.  It was a man who had been handed my resume from a friend of mine way over in Maryland.  He asked would I come work for him....I gladly said yes and within about two weeks, I was working and living here in Maryland.  Had I not gone to New Mexico and dealt with all that that entailed, I may never have come here to live.  What made my friend hand this man my resume....I'll never know.  Divine intervention I assume.


Take a moment and think about your life.  Where has it brought you?  Who had a hand in that.  Sometimes I think these people who facilitate change in our lives are Angels.  They quickly come in and then quickly go.  I lost touch with the friend who gave my resume to this man.  Never heard from her again.....I wonder did I touch her life as much as she touched mine?  I am thankful for her....thankful for the road I have taken.  Are you?  If you're not....it's time to make that change.  


Look back...it all happened for a reason.
